The Web Architecture Research Group was born in 2000. Its founder members Ana Pont-Sanjuán, José A. Gil-Salinas and Julio Sahuquillo-Borrás see in the increasing presence of the WWW a good opportunity to address new research projects and they contributed with a wide experience in processor-cache architecture, networks and performance evaluation.

Now the group is growing in the number of its members, activities and scientific contribution.
